Cleaning Tips
Regular cleaning vs deep cleaning. What you are actually paying for.
Most clients book the wrong service. Here is the simple rule for choosing between the two.
Regular cleaning maintains a clean home. Deep cleaning resets a dirty one. That sentence is the entire decision framework, but almost everyone gets it wrong on their first booking because cleaning companies are bad at explaining the difference.
If you have not had a professional service in 90 days, book a deep clean first. After that, regular weekly or biweekly visits hold the line at a fraction of the cost. Trying to save money by booking a regular clean on a dirty home is the most common mistake we see. The crew runs out of time, scopes get dropped, and the result disappoints everyone.
"When others don't show up, we do."
A regular clean is roughly 2 to 3 hours for a two bedroom. It covers bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, dusting visible surfaces, vacuuming and mopping, trash, and bed making. It assumes someone has already handled the deep zones in the last quarter.
A deep clean is 5 to 8 hours for the same two bedroom. It adds everything in the move out checklist above: inside appliances, baseboards, vents, window tracks, behind furniture, descaling, grout, and a full top to bottom dusting including light fixtures and ceiling fans.
Our rule of thumb in Vancouver: deep clean once a quarter if you live alone and keep things tidy, every two months if you have kids or pets, and monthly if you host short term guests. Fill the gaps with regular biweekly visits and your home never enters the danger zone where a deep clean becomes urgent.
